Our story began 60 years ago

with a passion for yarn and the art of spinning.

For decades, we worked quietly behind the scenes,

producing yarns for leading global brands.

As technology advanced, we faced a choice:

embrace automation and risk displacing our loyal employees,

or stay true to tradition and human craftsmanship.

We chose the latter.

Moreover, as our industry grew, so did our awareness

of the invisible dangers hiding in synthetic yarns,

of microfibers from acrylic, polyester, and nylon

that enter our lungs and oceans,

of chemical dyes that cling to our skin

and seep into our water systems,

threatening our health and our planet.

We launched Chemisfree to protect both the planet and the people

preserving our artisans and loyal employees as we move towards a new, cleaner path.

At Chemisfree, we spin only by hand,

using natural fibers and plant-based dyes,

many sourced from agricultural byproducts

giving new life to what others leave behind.

Each strand carries a story of care:
